Rising Garden Journal

Editorial policy

Rising Garden Journal aims to publish clear, accurate and independent writing about gardens, plants and cultivation. We explain what a story can establish, distinguish general guidance from context-specific considerations, and correct errors when they come to light.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual claims against suitable information before publication and write so readers can distinguish explanation, interpretation and suggestion. Where growing conditions or local circumstances may change what applies, we say so rather than turning a general point into a universal rule.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. Sponsored or partner material is labelled clearly so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. We do not present paid placement as an editorial recommendation.

Corrections

If a reader spots an error or unclear passage, they can contact us through the Contact page. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, update the relevant material with an appropriate note.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not evidence of a particular plant, garden or result, and we aim to make their illustrative role clear.

Our point of view

Growth starts with paying attention

Gardening gets easier to understand when you notice what a plant needs and what a place can offer. We look closely, keep the advice grounded and leave room for different gardens to grow differently.
